Jubilee 10k – Sunday 5th June 2022

The event village will be located in Runcorn Co-op car park.

Start Time: 9:00am

​The Event Village will be located at the Co-op, please congregate here no later than 8:40 ready to run. From here we will have a warm up and line up runners in estimated finish times. Our staff will walk you in waves to the Start line.
Please listen out for instructions from our marshals to ensure this is process is as smooth as possible.

Please note, that during the race this Event Village will be taken down and moved to the Top Locks car park, located under the bridge (WA7 1JH).

Race Packs 

If you entered before the 20th May, you will receive a race pack in the post. If you entered after, a pack will be waiting for you to COLLECT on the day.

If you are expecting a pack in the post and do not receive it by the race, please head to the information desk before the start of the race and we will issue you with another one.

NO CHIP MEANS NO TIME.

When you receive your race packs, please take a couple of minutes to fill out the brief runner Information form which can be found printed on the back of your bib. This will help us greatly in case of an emergency!

Race Start

We will walk runners from the event village to the start line based on estimated finish times in order to get lined up before the race start.

Please listen closely to all marshal instructions and remember to keep a safe distance from the runners around you.

Travel

By Car 

There are several car parks and street parking located around Runcorn and Widnes, within walking distance of the Event village. Please search Parkopedia to locate these.

There will be NO PARKING available at The Co-op or Top Locks car parks as these are being used for the event Villages.

PLEASE NOTE- the Jubilee Bridge will be closed from 6am for the event. Access to Runcorn from the Widnes side will be via the Mersey Gateway Bridge.

Please ensure you allow yourself extra time to travel, following any road closure diversions.

Train

Runcorn train station a short walk from the event village.

The best way to get here if you use a smartphone is to download the Google Maps App

Toilets

For this event we will be using portable toilets, these will be located in the Granville road Co-op car park prior to the race. Post race, we will have portable toilets located in the Top locks car park, located under the bridge (WA7 1JH).

Baggage

We won’t have a formal bag drop for this event, please limit the number of belongings you bring to the event and if possible leave anything in a car or with a spectator. If you’re arriving via public transport or bike and have no other options to leave belongings, please speak to a member of staff who can assist with looking after your belongings and returning them to you at the post race event village.

During the race

The start and finish of the race will be on the Jubilee bridge.

There will be marshals all around the course as well as KM markers.

Please note that there is a strict 90 minute cut off time for the 10k distance due to the road closures in place. 

​Post Race

We will have all your post race goodies ready to collect on the bridge at the Finish line, please take 1 of everything as you pass through the finish funnel. You are then free to spectate on the bridge or head off.

​Please keep moving through the finish funnel and meet your spectators at the end or further up the bridge to avoid any congestions.

Kit

If you’ve purchased an £8 add on T-shirt with your race entry, this will be posted to you. We Won’t have these available to collect on the day.

If you have purchased any other additional item of RT Kit with your race entry, please head to the RT Kit stall on the day of your race, with your email order confirmation and we will have your item ready for collection! We will have our Kit stall at the Co-Op pre race and at Top Locks car park post race.

Refreshments

There will be water provided at the 5k point on course and there will also be water available at the finish. Please bring your own water to the event to avoid congestion on the course. We recommend staying hydrated in the lead up to the event.

Spectators

Spectators are more than welcome to come along and support runners along the course. The Start and Finish will be easily accessible for anyone wanting to come and watch the event from the bridge.

Please avoid congregating at the finish funnel where possible to avoid any congestions.

After the race

Do NOT stop within the finish area. Please continue through the finish until you pass the medals and are in an open space.

There will be sealed ACTIPH water bottles at the finish for each runner to collect along with your medal, Love Corn and Kind Snack bar which will be laid out on tables for you to help yourself.

We ask that once you have collected your medal and water to leave the event village as soon as possible to avoid groups congregating within the event village.
